My only thought is are you referring to styles by name when creating the
file? If so, it is possible that the styles differ between the versions of
Excel. It may be the case that in 2010, someone has modified a style and
that these changes have not percolated through to the 2013 version yet.

Aside from that, I do not have any idea yet. Will think about it though. It
is even more confusing as I am guessing that the same styling is applied to
all of the cells with gray backgrounds on the worksheets you posted.
