Roller Developers, Here's some feedback on your installation instructions...
The instructions seem to imply that the mail.jar and activation.jar files are optional. However, before adding them, I got this (less than useful) Tomcat error: SEVERE: Error listenerStart After adding them, I got errors because Roller could not connect to the mail server. Only after removing the mail.* properties (on a hunch), did Roller deploy properly. You might want to tell people how to disable the mail server functionality. On a "first look" install, users will rarely care to have mail server functionality. Conversely, a quick, painless install would be of great value. Phil P.S. I'm trying to understand, why in the Web 2.0 era, you'd still be using 1960's technology for your support communications. Web forums are way more user friendly than listserv IMHO.
