Hi Gregor,
I might have this wrong but maybe the uploads.dir and themes.dir
override settings are what you are after? There is info on this on p19
of the (v4.0) install guide ("Don't store files inside of Roller").
Cheers,
Dave

Subject: How to set roller_data?
Hi there,
just a quick question:
I'd like to customize the location of where roller stores it's data.
As a default, roller puts it into ${user.home}/roller_data (at least
under Linux).
However, since this is (in my case) Tomcat's home-directory, it's not
a good idea to store any webapp's data there.
Do I have any chance to customize the location of roller_data without
having to change the source?
I'd also appreciate a link to a some more detailled documentation
(i.e. what java-properties can be set and are used by roller, such as
"webapp.context"m "user.home" etc.)
TIA
Gregor
