I'm a new Roller user and get problem while installing Roller 4.0.1. My local machine: On My local machine OS: Window XP SP2. Web Server: Tomcat 6.0.14. Database: MySQL 5.1.22. JDK: JDK 1.6.0.06 Browser: Firefox 3.0 My installation procedures are following: 1.Download roller 4.0.1, installation guide, and user guide in C:\java directory. 2.Unpacked roller 4.0.1 in that directory above. 3.Created rollerdb with username as scott and password as tiger based on the installation guide. It is Ok for testing rollerdb. 4.Created roller-custom.properties file based on installation guide. 5.Put roller-custom.properties file into tomcat 6.0.14/lib directory. 6.Start tomcat 6.0.14 server. 7.Used Firefox 3.0 browser access to URL http://localhost:8080/ 8.Proved tomcat server works and access to URL http://localhost:8080/manager/html 9.Type /roller in Context Path and C:\java\apache-roller-4.0.1\ in WAR or Directory URL 10.Clicked deploy button and roller deployed in Tomcat. 11.Applications table displays: on Path: /roller, on Display name: empty, on Running: true, on Sessions: 0, on Commands: start, stop, Reload, Undeploy, and Expire sessions with idle 30 minutes. 12.Type http://localhost:8080/roller and error message displays: HTTP status 404 - /roller/ , Type: status report, Description: The requested resource (/roller/) is not available. I tried to install roller 4.0.1 in different ways for 3 days, but the error message is the same. Please give me some helps in installation to solve the problem.
