Thanks for pointer...tried Kryo and ran into a strange error: org.apache.spark.SparkException: Job aborted due to stage failure: Exception while deserializing and fetching task: com.esotericsoftware.kryo.KryoException: Unable to find class: rg.apache.hadoop.hbase.io.ImmutableBytesWritable
