1.3.3 is not tested or released with HDP 1.3.x.   Since it is a bug fixed in 
the Teradata connector, unfortunately there is no workaround I can think of

Is Teradata connector 1.3.3 compatible with HDP 1.3?. We are not moving to HDP 
2 in near future. If this connector version(1.3.3) is not compatible with HDP 1 
do we have a workaround for connector version 1.0.9 for masking passwords?

 This issue was fixed in the Teradata connector 1.3.3 version which is
available as a add on for HDP 2.1
