Hi there, I've been taking a look at Sqoop on Spark PoC made by Veena Basavaraj: https://spark-summit.org/2015/events/Sqoop-on-Spark-for-Data-Ingestion/
As you know in order to use Sqoop in environments with existing Spark deployments it would be great Sqoop in on top of Spark. I've been reviewing the docs and found some references about support it in the future, and also i've seen there is an open issue about that since a year ago: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-1532 Is there any plan in the near future to support Spark in Sqoop?
