Hi,

We're looking for a new elections system, and STeVe was suggested.
We do not want to run it locally, so I was wondering if anyone knew of
any hosting/support providers. I see Software Freedom Conservancy
hosts, what I assume is, an instance (https://vote.sfconservancy.org/).

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
I am not aware of any hosters of this, and I'm not 100% certain on the state of STeVe right now. We have it working at the ASF, but with some caveats surrounding the database (it currently uses an older version of elasticsearch).

May I ask about the timeframe for your inquiry? I am in the midst of hacking on pySTeVe version 2, and I estimate a working prototype is about a month away, so that may be an avenue worth pursuing. Either way, I can help with setting up an instance if you're still interested. For what it's worth, you can run it on a $5 VM somewhere and it should just work.

Hit me up on my personal email address if you wish to talk more about getting an instance up and running. If this is for a non-profit or such, I'll be happy to assist free of charge.

With regards,
Daniel.
