Dear storm users, We've just open sourced our implementation of a kafka spout that uses kafka's high level consumer API. After running into some issues with the implementation provided in storm-contrib and reading the responses on the storm-user mailing list, we figured the storm community might benefit from our efforts.
The current implementation has been tested on storm 0.9.0rc3 with kafka 0.8.0beta1.
