Struts has a large number of international users, so bandwidth on the mailing 
list is always a concern. A lot of us have broadband, and extra paragraphs get 
lost in the rounding. But for others, longer posts means more finger-tapping, 
and maybe even a higher ISP bill. :(

Something to keep in mind is that every second you can save people when they review your post is multiplied by the 2000+ subscribers to the list today (2000 seconds is 33 minutes), and also by the thousands of others who read posts through the archives later.

Of course, the best way to conserve list bandwidth, human and digital, is (as 
mentioned) to observe [http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html].
