Kaleb, Your point might be true and I wouldn't mind that as long as it goes somewhere more appropriate. I recommended MyFaces, rather than a to level project because MyFaces claims to have a core that can be a drop-in replacement for Sun's JSF RI (someday) and Shale cannot run without a JSF core. If you take away both the Clay and Tiles add-ons, you could still do a chunk of that functionality with Facelets and SiteMesh but take away JSF and Shale cannot run.
