OK. I think I know what is going on here. For some reason, everytime we email you the ampersand entity, it get translated into a literal & again and it looks like nothing has changed. I am going to use "@amp;" but you change @ to & in your code: jdbc:mysql://localhost/[EMAIL PROTECTED];characterEncoding=utf-8
