No, I hadn't seen that. Thanks for pointing me to a useable tutorial site. You have no idea how hard it is to find Struts 2 or Tiles 2 information in Google, since every Struts 1 and Tiles 1 page on apache.org has a little text link to the new version that make the search think it's relevant to the second version. I feel like just getting started is always the hardest part of these things, because you don't even know where the documents are, and your questions are too general for a meaningful query.
