It's more work than I thought originally; somehow in my head I was thinking "Oh, just check to see if there's an 'id', if not, don't print it." This, of course, is exactly what it does now :/ OTOH, it'd be (albeit potentially irritating) to make a slight logic alteration in the template, and set id="" when you don't want one.
