One of the requirements of our application is to poll new files on an FTP
Server. As you explained, this functionality is supported by Synapse which
is definitely a good point. The support for a built-in FTP server is more
related to deployment. If Synapse has a built-in FTP server, deploying
Synapse would be sufficient to support our requirement.

Do you have any recommendations/experience (based on some criteria: ease of
installation/configuration, supported features, performance, ...) as on
which external FTP server to use ?
