Yes, the transport has read the response completely
It does not read the whole response message and results in unexpected
EOF error:

Could it be that the response received was malformed? Is the response
coming over SSL? if not, you can use the TCPMon tool to get a trace (or
even tcpdump / windump on Linux/Windows)
