If this service uses WS-Addressing, then you can receive the reply on a
different channel.. let me know if this is what you are looking for

Is this service accessed over http/s? If so what you need is to
increase the socket timeout configuration for Synapse (which by
defaults is 30 or 60 seconds if I remember).. to do this, drop a file
nhttp.properties with the following line (which sets this to 2 mins),
into the classpath (e.g. the "lib" directory)
http.socket.timeout=120000
