Abid, are you using a webapp deployment of Synapse, or is it the standalone synapse that you are running?
Andreas, if it is standalone synapse distro, I don't think AxisServlet gets a chance to init itself, since synapse server manager is initializing the axis2 instance in the standalone case and the AxisServlet is not deployed in the standalone synapse startup process.
