alter table add constraint ? modify constraint?

Hi Trafodioneers,
Looking at the doc, I don't see that there is syntax to modify a constraint.
Should I assume that the only way to modify a constraint is to drop it first 
then add it back?
Are these drop constraint, add constraint transactionaly protected?
