Hi everyone,
A couple years ago, during the height of the COVID pandemic, I built a
simple shopping cart style app using Apache Turbine and Torque — partly
as a way to support small business owners, and partly to explore what a
full Turbine application looks like from top to bottom.
I'm happy to share it with the community as an open source project:
turbine-webstore — a lightweight, customizable shopping cart and
inventory manager.
It includes:
Full inventory and product catalog management
Shopping cart and PayPal integration
Order tracking, PDF invoicing, and shipping label support
A secure admin panel with customizable branding and role-based access
The app is easy to get running with Maven, and ready to import directly
into Eclipse. It also makes a great reference for anyone interested in
building a full-featured Turbine app with a clean, extensible structure.
