Question about promoting component's services and/or references in SCA composite with trunk Tuscany build

Hi,

I am new with SCA and Tuscany development and has a question regarding how
Tuscany process the composite.

In the trunk code for Tuscany I noticed that in the samples projects the
.composite files dont have <service> or <reference> promoted.
How does Tuscany runtime knows which components should be exposed to outside
world?
