Michael, The VCL determines RAM based on what is set on the image profile. The setting for the computer is more of a maximum value. So to fix this, go to the edit interface for the Windows image (Manage Images -> Edit Image Profiles -> Edit) and set the RAM to 2048.
The 512MB value is a minimum value that is used if an image profile has no value set for RAM. We're using ESXi as our back end, in case that matters. And idea what we might be doing wrong?
