As part of the image capture process, the VM gets shut down, a copy of the disk is created, the VM definition is saved, and the VM is deleted. Then, as a test, the VM is recreated based on the image that was captured. If you're seeing the image and xml from the captured VM, the capture process should have succeeded. It sounds like something failed with the reload. We'll need more of the log information to see what happened. Typically, when you have a CRITICAL error in the log, there are a number of WARNING messages before it. It's best to send us about 10 lines above the top WARNING in that sequence through the end of the CRITICAL message.
