I don't know. What you are planning is not recommended, and init has not been subjected to much optimization, i can tell you that. The biggest hits, though are not likely to be the initialization itself so much as the fact that a re-init will mean that you get little or no use out of the template caching or class mapping. If you are up to the task, i would recommend trying to solve your particular problem some other way. The two most useful facilities for dynamic filesystem challenges are an IncludeEventHandler or a custom ResourceLoader. Either direction is likely to provide much better performance.
