Hi,

If I remember correctly, libedit was in the SFW gate, although it was built as an archive library.

I couldn't find libedit in the new userland gate. I'm wondering if it is available on the userland gate ?

Unfortunately, libedit is not in Solaris 11. Readline is instead. Libedit was in SFW and built as an archive library specifically for postgresql. When we removed postgresql from SFW, we also removed libedit since we had no other consumers. Personally, I can see a case for retaining it for exactly the reason postgresql needed it.

Hi Norm,

Your foresight is correct. It turns out that we need libedit for our new OpenSSH project.
Is it possible to make it available in the userland gate ?

Thanks,
Huie-Ying
