It's WOS policy. These libtool turds are not at all useful on Solaris.

We're going to need to do a bunch of similar cleanup when
7069662 Userland is missing tools/process to track changes in proto areas
gets fixed; it would make sense to do that all at once, once we know what
the solution looks like.
