Norm, Danek,
I'm pulling these questions out of my code review responses to Rich for
my pylint/logilab-ast/logilab-common upgrade...(see Subject: code
review request: 7040357,
7161180, 7161182: pylint, logilab-common, logilab-astng updates)
To address the question in the 3PSC about unnecessary test, demo, etc. files
and easily removing/excluding them from install,
I had marked the files in
/usr/lib/{python2.6,python2.7}/vendor-packages/logilab-common/test
and
/usr/lib/{python2.6,python2.7}/vendor-packages/logilab-astng/test
as facet.devel=true, since they are related to testing the logilab-common
& logilab-astng packages themselves.
I was also going to set facet.devel=true for the pylint test files, under
usr/lib/{python2.6,python2.7}/vendor-packages/pylint/test
Should I really be doing this? I don't see this facet set for test files in
other Userland packages.
Norm,
I have license lines in all three package manifests,
logilab-astng.p5m, logilab-astng-26.p5m, and logilab-astng-27.p5m
(and similarly for the 3 pkg manifests in logilab-common and in pylint).
Some other packages (pycups, pylxml) don't include the license line in
the *.p5m
file which depends on *-26.p5m & *.27.p5m, which *do* include the
license line.
Should I keep the license line in all three files,
or only include them in the *-26.p5m and *-27.p5m files?
Thanks,
April
