a bunch of machines seem unreachable today, I don't know why yet. but
I'd bet
delayed fallout from the outage.
denton seems to think your home directory is mounted, but it's not
working for some reason.
umount -f seems to have fixed it so I wonder if your server in the UK
changed something
since it was mounted yesterday?
