Kind of an open ended question here, I won't hold out hope for specifics
but if anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated.
Does anyone know the history of the libxml2 check/test target? It
runs...horribly. Errors, warnings, complaints and so much noise that it
seems to me to be virtually useless. I don't believe it was made in SFW
so there's probably no history there other than folks that might have
run it manually?
Did it ever run clean? Is there some specific setup on the machine you
make it on to make it run 'better'? (I have http proxy set so it can
get the additional files it needs from the Internet.) Anyone know if
the bad test run is specific to Solaris perhaps - I've never run it on
other OS's to compare? Does the newer version of libxml2 (2.8.0) run
the tests better?
