Hi Vlad,
Samba (GPLv3) is a bit different case. Samba is build by gcc on the i386
platform only. Problems can be fixed when Samba build is forced to gcc45.
I was investigating this issue some time ago and the most visible
difference is the:
- gcc 4.5 correcty removes "rpath" from the elf ...but
- old gcc343 leaving "rptah" in elf ...unfortunately the order is -
:/usr/lib:/usr/sfw/lib:
So it looks the gcc343 compiled code is running on gcc45 runtime when it
is installed.
But "DON'T PANIC" :-)
