I've done three fairly comprehensive tests:
* Tested to make sure the mediators work. See the extensive Comment in
the Bugster CR.
* Installed the new gcc3 packages in a BE, and did a full Userland
'nightly' build on my machine.

* Also installed the gcc45 packages in the same BE, then did a full ON
build:
