Hallo Matthias,
das war ja ganz besonders schlau von mir gewesen... man sollte eben
nicht nur die "richtige" Sprache auswählen, sondern dann auch schalten,
dass man jetzt "deutsch" schreiben soll. Heftiges Erröten meinerseits :-)
Ich denke, dass es mit an Firefox hängt, allerdings ist das durch viele
Versionen hin immer das gleiche Problem und eben durch den "graceful"
schrittweise und durch das Löschen der Sessions komplett in den Griff zu
bekommen.
Ich hatte gehofft, dass da irgendwas bekannt wäre oder ich schlicht den
Apache verkonfiguriert habe :-)
Vielen Dank für die Antwort, ich werd mich dann mal durch die Bugzillas
fressen und die Firefox'ler damit belästigen.

Can someone rule out if this is an Apache (config) problem?
Can someone give a hint, what the problem could be?
