Hey folks, I’ve been diving into a small construction project — nothing fancy,
just a backyard workshop with a concrete floor — and I keep stumbling upon
polypropylene fibers as an additive for concrete. The idea totally makes sense
to me: better crack resistance, improved durability, etc. But I’ve never
actually used them before. So here’s my question: for those of you who’ve
worked with PP fibers in concrete, how big of a difference did you really
notice? Is it something that changes the behavior of the mix in a way that a
regular DIYer should be ready for? I’m aiming for a smooth finish without fancy
equipment, just your average float and some patience.
