Hmm, it sounds odd that there's an error indicating the value needs to be set. The TCP transport sets defaults if they are not provided.
Can you provide the text of that error message? The URL looks right. However, there is some magic to the linkage of the wireformat that makes it hard to be 100% sure. OpenWire is being used here, correct? Are the stock ActiveMQ libraries in-use?
