One of the things that the JMX example does is set this system property via pom.xml [1]:
-Djava.rmi.server.hostname=localhost This system property is referenced in the Management documentation in the section titled "Configuring remote JMX Access" [2] which states: It is important to note that the rmi registry will pick an ip address to bind to, If you have a multi IP addresses/NICs present on the system then you can choose the ip address to use by adding the following to artemis.profile -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=localhost I have to set this on my own machine to get this working. Perhaps you do as well.
