Yes. In ActiveMQ 6.x the JAAS realm for ActiveMQ and Jetty (web console and 
APIs) was merged so there is one password and group data store. (JMX is still 
separate— and is targeted to be merged sometime on the roadmap).

This change was announced in the 6.x release notes, but that web page needs to 
be updated.
