Could I suggest we redirect this request to the user list? The development list is normally used for issues specific to AppFuse's development itself.
You would need to have an action (or the equivalent in JSF - not a framework I am too familiar with) that uses the java.lang.Runtime class to start the process. There may well be some support classes in Jakarta Commons Lang and/or Spring that may make this easier. Perhaps someone else on the list could share some of their experiences here?
