I don't know if it will become a standard. If you're developing a RIA,
IMHO there are 3 main web frameworks for the JVM: GWT, Flex and
OpenLaszlo. I believe what separates the last two are its licenses and
tooling. OpenLaszlo is more "open source" and Flex has better tools.

Since both OL and Flex are XML based, it's likely we'd integrate GWT
first since that's Java-based and it's likely more Java developers
will use it.

Personally, I don't get many requests from clients to develop RIA
applications. Therefore, it's unlikely I'll be motivated to do the
integration work - unless it's simply to learn how to do it. That
being said, I see no problems in integrating one (or more) RIA
framework in AppFuse - we'd be greatful to accept the contribution.
