I'm the author of candy4appfuse plug-in and I can confirm that it is not
being maintained :-(.
You can try q4e (http://code.google.com/p/q4e/) which provides generic maven
support in eclipse (including creating projects from archetypes). Q4e is
being provisioned at the eclipse foundation with the name of Eclipse IAM.

At some point, the warpath plug-in support included in candy4appfuse will be
incorporated to Eclipse IAM.
