Hi Jorge, You use Apache Archiva to manage artifacts ? (if not maven users list us...@maven.apache.org will be more informed)
Maybe the jar was not well downloaded. Is it possible to copy the jar elsewhere on your file system and try to unzip it to see what's inside. (axis2-kernel-1.6.0.jar must be around 1M in size.) If not a jar it may contains some clues to see what happens.
