The fact that this is the last warning logged before the hang doesn't mean that it is the root of the problem. I'd try running ArgoUML without the dbuml extension to eliminate that as the source of the problem. Depending on what your JVM's default parameters are you may want to increase the maximum heap size available to the JVM. Have you tried the Java Web Start version of ArgoUML 0.24? Does that work?
