Hi, Thanks for your interest in the service.
Replying to some of your comments: > this is only appropriate for users who have non-proprietary models that they > don't mind sending to an externally controlled web site. True, but note that I'm not keeping the models. Of course, you still need to trust me on that but I don't see this as a big problem. Just look at the current project management tools. Most of them are now offered as SaaS (see our survey here:http://modeling-languages.com/content/survey-web-based-software-project-management-tools) which means that the tool hosts all the project related information for the company (including the code). Many companies are getting used to this and accept having key data in external providers (which I repeat it is not even the case of this service, since the service deletes the files after transforming them) > Where can users who want to do their own processing find the relevant XSLT > sheets, etc? There are not XSLTs. Since the XMI service is part of more ambitious services (see modeling-languages.com) that require more complex processing of the UML models, the models are first loaded into main memory as instances of the main metamodel and exported to the final XMI format. > It would be useful to report what version(s) of UML & XMI are supported. I mention the tools that are supported but you are right, I'll expand the information to be more precise >Having the Terms & Conditions behind a registration firewall (!) makes it kind of hard to decide how risky it is to register. Not sure if I understand this last comment. Registration as a user of the portal is risk-free (you only need to provide an email address, all other informations are optional). The terms and conditions have to be accepted before launching the service so I don't see any risk in using the service.
