Googling for
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: -60397977 incompatible with
Text-specific LCD contrast key
gives all sorts of references although the number seems to differ -
for example - http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5287051
The problem seems not to be with ArgoUML specifically but with Java on
your hardware.
I would makes sure that
a) You have the latest version of Java installed.
b) You have the latest device drivers installed
