What's about commons.logging?
heh. You can read a long threads about that one on [EMAIL PROTECTED] and on commons-dev; not so easily possible right now (but refer http://cvs.werken.com/viewcvs.cgi/plexus-container/src/java/org/apache/plexus/logging/commons/CommonsLogger.java?cvsroot=plexus)
For me this is really important that the user has the choice of the logging api being used.
this is already possible in phoenix, and will be in ECM, Fortress as of the upcoming release (thanks to a new and improved excalibur-logger package). Basic support for this has been in avalon-framework for a few releases now.
