Hi Steve,

merlin.sh would be alright, but I currently have a look at the other
two scripts and they will fail, too. I'll send a patch or would you
like to receive the complete files?

Send me the complete file.

Hi Steve,

I am currently on my way to build maven from scratch to test the modifications. Unfortunately the build stops in meta:

Fixed.
Have just tweeked maven.xml in avalon/meta to only deal with */project.xml instead of **/project.xml.

<snip>

Anyway, looking at maven-server.sh I am asking myself, what use could it have for Cygwin users, since it is obviously a script to start a Unix service (BTW: for which distris?). For Windows users in general I saw the scripts to start merlin as windows service anyway, so my suggestion is to exit that script in Cygwin immediately with a hint to the service installation.

My feeling is that we should kill the references to Cygwin - it certainly is
not needed for building or running merlin.

I can send the other scripts untested otherwise ...

Yep - send them through. What are the changes?

Stephen.

Regards, Jrg
