I should point out that the -jmx option is documented as experimental and subject to change. Under 3.0 the JMX support is limited to the kernel itself and there is not faciity though which the JMX server is propergated to the components (or more correctly - not facility for publication of component MBeans to the server). Under the current 3.2 release candidate the -jmx option has been removed - but at the same time the infrastructure for the declaration of container-side facilities (such as a JMX server or adapter) has been added. There is however a lot still to do - in particular we need to close the issues concerning dynamic service aquisition via blocks, and establish the formal model for container-side service establishment, publication, and substitution.


What all of that means is that this is work in progress and that if your running from CVS - your likely to see some really interesting options.
