With all the respect Stephen, today I deleted completely all the template files, downloaded the latest version from CVS, ran "maven", cd impl and "maven merlin:simulate" and I obtain the following. Even if I am new to Merlin, from the error message it seems to me that the execution tries to download the template-....jars from a remote repository (ibiblio or dpml.net) rather than from my local repository. I can ensure that the jars are under .maven/repository/template.
