Thanks, that's really great. The deps of your Avalon wrapper wouldn't be an
issue, but last time I tried to build it www.ibiblio.org seemed to be down
and I was in no mood to resolve those deps manually. You get a little lazy
once you get used to maven ;)

Regarding improvements: I'll do what I can, but I only just started out
using Avalon/Merlin. It'll probably take some time to get up to speed. What
I was thinking about was donating this app I am currently porting to merlin
as a not-quite-trivial example. It will integrate merlin, hibernate and ww2
as its core technologies, so people could see how merlin integrates into a
real-world scenario. Unfortunately, the port is probably going to take a
while, and once that's done I will have to sort out some IP issues with my
former employer. I'll probably have to strip it down a bit, removing those
parts specific to the problem domain at hand (in essence, it's a simple
cms). Sounds acceptable?
