You should be able to run the standalone block descriptor included in the impl/conf directory:
$ merlinx impl\conf\sample.block
This gives me:
java.io.IOException: Connection returned a null input stream: http://www.ibiblio.org/maven/template/jars/template-api-1.0.jar
org.apache.avalon.repository.util.LoaderUtils.getResource(LoaderUtils.java:349)
In any event, is this template project a sample block? If yes, how can I then make a sample application? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the terms used in Merlin, but I mean application in the sense of a .sar file in Phoenix. Something that is a collection of blocks and deployed onto a runtime system. Or does Merlin not have a runtime system?
