Stephen will be able to clarify this, but you should be able to give merlin a comma delimited list of blocks to launch (or jars with embedded block files). At least this is possible when using the merlin.deployment property in a merlin.properties file: http://avalon.apache.org/merlin/merlin/kernel/properties.html I'm not sure if this works from the command line though.
